How to create a good brand name and logo ?

Anyway let's start today's topic that is how to create a good brand name and logo. Friends there is no any given standered, parameter , rule or regulation. After studying the various successful brand we get some fact regarding brand name and logo.


  • Brand name should be neither small nor long.
  • We suggest 4 - 15 character are better to learn and use.
  • Brand name contains part of the your registered organization. 
  • A specific font or collection of fonts  are always use to create a brand name.
  • Some times color and style are also fixed. 
  • If there is more than one words then size, height , position of word matters.
  • Brand name may contain some special (self designed character) Example : TʌTʌ, !dea, FedEx
  • One can also use a image  of animal, birds etc in place of word of character like Lacoste, Firari
  • Also seen that in brand name the angle of character may be changed. like AnimalPlanet
  • If you are using two words it may be different color (like Paytm, Snapdeal) or same  (like Microsoft, facebook.
Ok, Now we are going to disclose some basic facts of  logo. As per our analysis there are three type of logo.

Text Logo : This type of logo is very clear simple easy to create and of portable nature. Here a specific font, color, size and style are defined to create this. There are two type in text logo

  • Character Based Logo : Contains first or any single character Like Facebook Twitter, Hero
  • Word Based Logo : This type of logo contains full word Like Santoor, Godrej, Lux ,olx, Oracle


Graphical Logo: These are the original and ancient logo. There are no any relation between brand name and logo . Example Vodafone, Toyota, Audi 

Hybrid Logo : This type of logo contains some graphic and some text part like airtel, Indian railway, HAL, Aditya Birla Group
